Specialized solution with work platforms set up at Radisson Blu

In Amager, dan-alu a/s has replaced all the windows on the 90-meter-high Radisson Blu Scandinavia. To perform the work safely and efficiently, the carpenters used a tailor-made solution from Platform.as, where the work platforms were set up on specially designed steel frames, we calculated in collaboration with Scanclimber, dan-alu, and a consulting engineering firm.

VACUUM LIFTER TAKES CARE OF THE HEAVY LIFTS

“This one, it’s our dear friend. It makes everything easy for us. And we don’t wear ourselves out,” says Andreas Roelsen from AMR Byg, among other things, when Platform.as interviews him about the use of a vacuum lift, while he and his colleague are installing large glass sections at a construction site in Hedehusene. A work platform with a top crane, a powerful electric vacuum, and a remote control makes the work a breeze when carpenters need to maneuver large and heavy glass windows and doors safely into place.

Huge covered workspace can be raised and lowered as needed!

“The carpenters love to use these platforms instead of running up and down scaffolding,” says project manager Tim Ingemann, among other things in the video, where you can see Platform.as’ solution at Strandskolen in Karlslunde. The solution includes three double-masted and one single-masted platform, all covered. The double-masted platforms are almost 40 meters long. It provides the craftsmen with a fantastic large working area – and that in dry weather!

IN PLATFORM.AS, WE GIVE IT A GO WHEN THE TASK REQUIRES IT!

“Here in Platform.as, we give it a go both evening, night, or on weekends. If that’s what it takes for customers to be satisfied and get their things on time,” said Carsten Kamstrup, among other things in the video, when he finished some specially constructed brackets one weekend, which were to be used on a project Monday morning.

THATCHING WORK MADE MORE EFFICIENT BY USING WORK PLATFORMS

“Because we have to go so high up in the air, we have chosen to get a platform. And it works really well because we can have our elements with us and easily get them onto the roof surface,” says Thomas Gerner, thatcher and owner of Tækkefirmaet Horneby. The thatching company is, along with other interesting companies, in the process of building their fantastic bid for the future of construction under the project “Housing Construction from 4 to 1” at Søren Kierkegaard’s Square in Copenhagen.

Covered work platforms protect workers

On a covered platform solution, people can work in dry weather while being protected against the worst draft, and materials and tools do not get ruined by rain and slush. It results in satisfied employees and helps to minimize sick days and weather-related days, as well as it increases efficiency and minimizes costs.
