Masonry scaffolding

Masonry scaffolding is a heavyweight among scaffolding. The masonry scaffolding has a high load capacity and wide decks, which ensure good and ergonomic working conditions when the craftsman works.

Masonry scaffolding is a popular and expensive scaffolding solution. Renting masonry scaffolding is popular because it can be used for all types of work. It is expensive because masonry scaffolding often is built using many components and materials. It requires many hours to assemble and dismantle, and at the same time the scaffolding is more expensive to rent. The more components, the higher the price.

With the rental of masonry scaffolding, you have many flexible options, as the masonry scaffolding can be built both narrow, wide and high while other scaffolding solutions can be added, such as a tower for materials like for a classic facade scaffold. Masonry scaffolding is suitable as a tower for materials or for loading, as the strong scaffolding can be loaded with a weight of up to 450 kg per m2 and can withstand this load over a longer period of time.

WHAT IS MASONRY SCAFFOLDING?

Masonry scaffolding is characterised by having wide decks, high load capacity and good working conditions. Masonry scaffolding is suitable for many different renovation projects and construction cases. The masonry scaffold is a flexible and robust work platform that is built in scaffolding classes 2-5: from 150 kg to 450 kg per m2.

Masonry scaffolding is not a specific type of scaffolding. It can be a trestle scaffold or a regular pillar scaffold such as HAKI, Layher or +8. It is always recommended to build with the same scaffolding manufacturer, as this ensures that the components and material fit together.

Masonry scaffolding consists of trolleys/scaffold decks, foot spindles, footers, frames, columns, couplings, longitudinal beams, diagonals, fences, decks or trolleys. Extending the scaffolding requires more components such as girders, stairs, railing posts, wall brackets and other fixings. All the components have a rental price that is either calculated in daily rent or calculated as a quotation corresponding to the duration of the project.

You can choose to use trestle scaffolding as masonry scaffolding for smaller tasks such as renovations, window replacement or general masonry work. A trestle scaffold can be loaded up to 200 to 450 kg and is therefore suitable for heavy work

If you have heavy work at height, you should choose one of the complete scaffolds, also known as system scaffolds. A system scaffold such as HAKI is known as masonry scaffolding, as the product’s trolleys are produced for the mason’s needs with its flexible options that meet all safety requirements and regulations in the area.

WHEN SHOULD YOU CHOOSE MASONRY SCAFFOLDING?

You should choose masonry scaffolding when your tasks require a work platform that can withstand wear, heavy materials and hard work. Regardless of whether you have to work at height or have small renovation projects, you can safely choose to use masonry scaffolding.

On masonry scaffolding, due to the wide decks, you can comply with The Danish Working Environment Authority’s instructions when you need multiple craftsmen to carry out several tasks on the scaffolding at the same time. The carpenter or mason can get around the scaffolding with a wheelbarrow for windows without disturbing each other’s work processes. The carpenter will be able to carry out a roof renovation, while the mason puts the finishing touches on the brickwork.

Even if you do not have several heavy work processes at the same time to take into account, you can ask your scaffold supplier whether you can settle for having a scaffold built in a lower scaffold class and possibly start with a tower in a higher scaffolding class that can withstand a higher load. It is worth considering if you want to have your materials hoisted onto the scaffolding.

Masonry scaffolding must be set up so that it complies with the Danish Working Environment Authority’s guidelines on the responsibility of the scaffolder, regardless of whether it is for private or commercial use, the most important regulations for scaffolding and common regulations for scaffolding.

WHAT IS THE RENTAL PRICE FOR MASONRY SCAFFOLDING?

The rental price for a masonry scaffolding varies in relation to the scaffold type, width, length and height. It is worth noting that the price also varies in relation to the scaffolding class, the width of the scaffolding and the choice of scaffolding supplier.

Renting masonry scaffolding is more expensive than other scaffolding solutions, because the scaffolding class is between 3 and 5, and because the scaffolding is wide. Besides the rental price for masonry scaffolding, you also pay for assembly, dismantling and environmental charges in addition to the fixed rental price. And in addition to the scaffolding, the client also rents a material lift, fall chute, a cover/roof, a stair tower and possibly a tower for the materials, because the project also requires this additional equipment.

THE MAST CLIMBING WORK PLATFORM IS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE MASONRY SCAFFOLDING

An efficient and modern alternative to masonry scaffolding is the mobile mast climbing work platform. A mobile mast climbing work platform can be adjusted so that it accommodates the craftsmen’s working height, while the platform itself can be equipped with a recessed deck that can be adjusted to guarantee good working positions.

Renting a mobile mast climbing work platform can easily compete with the rental price of masonry scaffolding, as masonry scaffolding requires many components, takes a long time to assemble and plenty of space. In addition to competing with the rental price of masonry scaffolding, a mast climbing work platform can also compete with comfort, safety, load capacity and working environment.

A mast climbing work platform can usually withstand a greater weight load without compromising flexibility. It is both possible to load the platform with materials and equipment at the ground and to load the platform using a construction hoist, top-slewing crane, a crane arm or a vacuum lifter. Cranes and hoists are safe methods of transporting material up to the mast climbing work platform.

The mast climbing work platform can reach up to 200 metres in height and 46 metres in width with double masts. If you have a need for greater range, do not hesitate to contact us and we will find a solution.

TRY AN EFFICIENT AND MODERN MAST CLIMBING WORK PLATFORM

A mast climbing work platform is your solution when you have to work at height and want to be able to work safely, efficiently and save time on your construction project.

A mobile mast climbing work platform is a great choice when you do not want to compromise with the maximum load, want to create good ergonomic working conditions for the craftsmen and do not want to plaster the building’s facade with scaffolding and plastic to bother the residents.

The platform is a mobile machine that can be expanded and adapted to the specific work task’s requirements for width, depth and height. This gives the craftsmen good working conditions, while the building’s residents do not have their daylight and view taken away from the windows while also avoiding noise nuisance from plastic blowing in the wind.

It is quite easy to move the mast climbing work platform during the construction project, and setting up the platform quick and easy regardless of height compared to assembling and dismantling scaffolding.
